Abstract
A method is presented for reconstruction following obliteration of the proximal part of the male urethra. A bladder flap with its pedicle near the internal meatus is used. After healing, the pedicle is severed by twisting a wire loop. Five cases are described and it is concluded that the method is practicable and effective.
