Abstract

A case of osteoid osteoma in the scaphoid bone as a cause of persisting pain in the wrist is described. The first operation failed to relieve the symptoms, while a second “en-bloc” excision was successful. Postoperative X-ray examination must be performed in order to ensure radical excision.
