Abstract
$aL2-Macroglobulin was demonstrated immuno-histochemically in macrophage-like cells of rheumatoid arthritic synovial tissue. It is concluded that these intra-cellular deposits probably represent phagocytosed protease-$aL2-macroglobulin complexes. A contributing local production of $aL2-macroglobulin is, however, not excluded by the present findings.
