Abstract

Prevalence of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) was studied in 751 first and second degree relatives of 49 seronegative and of 113 seropositive RA patients. The results confirm the importance of a genetic component in aetiology of RA. No difference in the pattern of inheritance in seropositive as opposed to seronegative RA could be demonstrated.
