Abstract

Long-term results of surgical synovectomy of the knee joint were compared in 10 patients with seronegative and in 26 patients with seropositive rheumatoid arthritis. The results were better in seronegative than in seropositive patients. This is probably due to the benign nature of seronegative rheumatoid arthritis.
