Abstract

As the International Year of Disabled People draws to a close, Elizabeth Fanshawe, Assistant Director of the Disabled Living Foundation considers what rehabilitation means in real terms to the consumer, the disabled person himself The paper was originally presented as the Casson Memorial Lecture to the British Association of Occupational Therapists but its contents are relevant to all those involved with the disabled.
