Abstract

The field of electromedical instrumentation in India is nearly two decades old. Twenty years ago there were only two or three companies assembling X-ray units, with all other diagnostic, therapeutic and analytical instruments being imported. Progressively, particularly in the last decade, both research and development activity and also production have picked up.
