Micr ocomputer-co ntr oiled psychoacoustics in clinical audiology

Abstract

This article describes the design and implementation of a microcomputer-controlled experimental rig for psychoacoustical testing in a clinical setting. Firstly, the role of psychoacoustical tests in clinical audiology is reviewed briefly. Some common test procedures are described. The requirements of the hardware and software are outlined together with their realization. Finally, the performance of the system and its usefulness are noted.
