Evaluation of infusion pumps: Third report—volumetric pumps

Abstract

The evaluation of infusion pumps and controllers is being undertakenfor the DHSS within the Bath District Health Authority. Technical performance assessments are made at the Bath Institute of Medical Engineering, user assessments in various local hospitals and equipment tested to BS 5724 at the BSI Test House.

A recent edition of Health Equipment Information’ (HEI), No. 116, October 1983, contains the third report in this series. It deals with six volumetric pumps-the Critikon Simplicity 2101A, Imed 927, Ivac Infucheck, Boots/Oximetrix, Terumo STC 502 and the Valleylab IV6000.
