Evaluation of pneumatic tourniquet controllers

Abstract

‘Health Equipment Information’ No. 138, published in March 1985 contains evaluation reports on 12 pneumatic tourniquet controllers. The Conn, Hoyles OEC 855 and 960, the Richards Constant Aire, the Schuco AT 401 and the Stille are single cuff models, while the Anetic Aid APT, the Braun SC2, the Holborn SCT2, the Oxylitre 551 and the Thakray A100 are double cuff models. The DHSS understand that the Hoyles Tourniquet and the OED 960 are no longer manufactured, the results are included for purposes of comparison.
