British Technology Group (BTG) history goes back to 1948, when the Development of Inventions Act set up the National Research Development Corporation; the organization is self-financing and reports to the UK Department of Trade and Industry.

This paper describes BTG′s objectives, the products and services it offers, its resources and, briefly, its typical terms of business.
