Abstract
The studies reviewed in this article were carried out for the Chemical Manufacturers Association Phthalate Esters Panel in response to a number of questions raised by the National Toxicology Program Bioassay on DEHP [1]. They have been discussed previously in part [2, 3]. The experimental work was performed by Arthur D. Little Inc., Cambridge, Massachusetts, and by the British Industries Biological Research Carshalton, Surrey, United Kingdom. The studies were supervised for the Chemical Manufacturers Phthalate Esters Panel by the author and Eugene D. Barber (Eastman Kodak Company), Arthur Lington (Exxon Corporation), Ann Mulholland (Ethyl Corporation), Elizabeth J. Moran (Chemical Manufacturers Association), Ellen Robinson (Monsanto Company), and Bernard F. Schneider (U.S. Steel Corporation).
