Abstract

Comparably viscous noaionic and anionic gum dispersions were found to vary in their effect on salicylate dialysis through a semipermeable membrane. The urinary recovery rate of unchangea salicylate was affected by the coadministration of gums. Methylcellulose 4000 lowered the rate of excretion whereas sodium carboxymethylcellulose increased the rate.
