L'auteur décrit l'éducation auditive de deux enfants très jeunes qui ont été appareillés dans la première enfance (à seize mois et à six mois). On donne les preuves de la prévention de la surdi-mutité en certains cas. Une figure montre le développement linguistique d'un des enfants.
