Abstract
The speech discrimination of children can be obtained by pictures in a multiple-choice experiment. However the test results have to be corrected for a false positive effect. For this reason in our experiment the selected words are assigned a fixed acoustic relation. The four words, presented on one slide demonstrate a change in consonant, a change in vowel and a change in both. So one slide shows the pictures of a hand; a bag; a mouth; a dog. In Dutch these words closely resemble: hand; mand; mond; hond.
