Characteristics, outcome, and process of short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy: An updated overview

Abstract

In this overview article of short-term psychodynamic psychotherapy (STPP) a recently developed classification system for short-term psychotherapy is presented and applied to the categorization of STPP. Furthermore, updated empirical evidence as to outcome effects and certain major psychotherapeutic processes of STPP are outlined.
