Abstract

Rabbit antibody to mouse or human serum components has been absorbed from antiserum using a two step immunoadsorbent process. Monkey antiserum to Rauscher leukemia virus (RLV) was made monospecific for the RLV by absorbing out the antibody against host serum components. The method is generally applicable to the purification of antisera if the contaminating antigens are available.
