Abstract
Using serial dilutions of established HL-A9 antisera, we could subdivide the HL-A9 specificity either into 15 linear subtypes based on cross-reacting groups, or into 16 nonlinear subtypes. The latter arrangement is consistent with a theory of shifting antigenic reference points for HL-A structure.
