Abstract

To further define the relationship between serum cryoprecipitates and immune complexes, experimental serum sickness was produced in rabbits using radiolabelled bovine serum albumln (BSA) aei antigen.

BSA cryoprecipitation was not detected befors immune complexes appeared in the circulation. It reached peak quantities while immune complexes were present and BSA was undergoing immune elinination. The time come of BSA cryoprecipitation suggests that the BSA which appears in the cryopreclpitates may be in the form of immune couplexea.
