Prevention of Renal Stone Disease

Abstract

The accurate prevention of renal stone disease is dependent upon a thorough understanding of the pathophysiologic mechanisms involved in the formation of renal calculi. An understanding of these mechanisms in the formation of calcium oxalate stones has allowed the development of some effective preventive therapeutic approaches.
