Treatment of perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens with isotretinoin

Abstract

Perifolliculitis capitis abscedens et suffodiens is a rare condition characterized by recurrent interconnected abscesses and patchy alopecia of the scalp. Numerous treatments have been used in this condition with varying degrees of success. We report a case successfully treated with isotretinoin.
