Abstract
Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) infusion is becoming a useful treatment in steroid-resistant dermatomyositis and in a wide spectrum of other autoimmune disorders. The development of hypertension during the infusion has not been previously documented. We report a patient with dermatomyositis treated monthly with IVIG (Scottish Blood Transfusion Service) who developed transient hypertension during the infusion.
