Psychotherapy by telephone: Experience of patient and therapist

Pages 311-313 | Published online: 06 Jul 2009

Abstract

Therapy by telephone is a little explored option but appears to have potential advantages for both patient and therapist. This case illustrates the successful use of the telephone to complete cognitive therapy in a patient who would otherwise have been unable to continue and keep her job. Telephone therapy required less therapist time and was more convenient for the patient.
