Common cardiac drugs and rehabilitation

Abstract

Cardiac patients are often on drugs. They invariably benetit from a rehabilitation programme where they may be seen more frequently than in a routine follow-up clinic. Rehabilitation units must keep alert for drug-induced adverse effects or symptomatic deterioration, as well as the more usual psychological and physical benefits they induce.
