Analytical Methods used in Bioavailability Studies: A Regulators Viewpoint

Abstract

The importance of adequate and validated analytical methodology used in biostudies for interpretation of pharmacokinetic data is discussed. The performance characteristics of analytical methods, the issues and concerns relating to the major bioanalytical techniques and the analytical information/data needed in biosubmissions from regulatory viewpoint are outlined.
