Abstract
The understanding of endothelial biology has exploded over the last decade. In spite of excellent progress in a number of areas, for example, mechanism of cellular adhesion and regulation of vascular tone, fundamental aspects of endothelial biology remain to be explored. We have highlighted specific areas in which there should be solid progress over the next ten years and which we believe should be strongly promoted by the new journal Endothelium.
