Abstract

To the Editor

We read with a great interest the article by Dr. Cooper and his co-workers (Hypertension in Pregnancy 1993; 12:1) about the genetics of preeclampsia and especially its pathogenesis. We fully accept the scheme of progression steps in this disease sketched out by Dr. Cooper and his colleagues; however, we would like to point out the importance of the damage to the microcirculation in preeclampsia.
