Extracorporal Hemosorption for Pediatric Patients

Abstract

The paper gives a brief review of 12-years' experience and of performing 922 extracorporal hemosorptions in 611 children from 1 day to 15 years of age for treatment of acute poisonings, hepatic and renal insufficiencies, purulent & septic, allergic, autoimmune, oncological diseases and other pediatric pathological conditions. Technical and procedure aspects of operating on pediatric patients are discussed. Suggestions about the mechanisms of treatment effect are made.
