Abstract
While gainful employment is usually one of the major outcome success criteria applied to drug abuse treatment, treatment programs frequently have major inadequacies in the area of employment-related training. CETA is an important resource in many communities that may be tapped into by drug abuse treatment programs, with mutually beneficial results. Although CETA is currently undergoing a fundamental restructuring, this paper offers some hints on how and why linkages with CETA may be worthwhile.
