Epidemiologic Evidence on Cocaine Use and Subsequent Psychiatric Disturbances

Abstract

There is a long-standing tradition of clinical observations and anecdotal reports that draw attention to apparent causal relations between cocaine use and later occurrence of psychiatric disturbances. Epidemiologic research conducted at Johns Hopkins during the past ten years provides evidence to support and complement these observations.
