Abstract
The nature and extent of cocaine trafficking are not well known due to a lack of quality data and specific information with known validity and reliability. A ten year update of my previous study of cocaine trafficking (Montagne, 1990) indicates that the situation regarding quality of trafficking data has not improved, while anecdotal evidence suggests coca cultivation and trafficking in cocaine products has continued to increase.
