Abstract
Those of us who work with college students recognize that alcohol abuse is a serious concern in that population. Efforts to prevent such abuse have often been encouraged, but the methods have been primarily intuitive or anecdotal until now. The publication of this book provides us with a research-validated method to implement prevention, screening, and brief interventions that have a high likelihood of being successful. The book is designed as a manual for those clinicians and educators who provide prevention, education, and treatment services to college students who drink alcohol.
