Notes

1. Confusion often arises around the terminology used in discussing how the differing professions and disciplines can work together to provide care and management for MSK conditions. In this paper we define “interprofessional” as specifically referring to different health professionals – e.g. physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, etc. and use “interdisciplinary” to refer to different specialties within various health professions – e.g. orthopaedics, rheumatology and rehabilitation.
