, , , &

Abstract

We, the Editor and Publisher of European Journal of Contraception and Reproductive Health Care, have retracted the following article:

Moustafa Ibrahim, Tarek Rafaat, Amal Abbas, Hala Masoud & Ahmed Salama (2014) A novel association between cytotoxin-associated gene A (CagA) positive strain of Helicobacter pylori and unexplained recurrent early pregnancy loss, The European Journal of Contraception & Reproductive Health Care, 19:2, 78-85, DOI: 10.3109/13625187.2013.873399

Since publication, significant concerns have been raised about the validity of the statistical analysis and reported results in the article. When approached for an explanation, the authors fully cooperated with the investigation and provided responses to our queries. However, these responses have not sufficiently addressed our concerns. As we cannot confirm the validity of the study as reported, we are therefore retracting the article. The authors have been informed of this decision. The authors do not agree with the retraction.

We have been informed in our decision-making by our editorial policies and COPE guidelines.

The retracted article will remain online to maintain the scholarly record, but it will be digitally watermarked on each page as “Retracted”.
