Recollagenation: A new technique for the restoration of pitted acne scars

Pages 231-232 | Published online: 10 Jul 2009

Summary

A new process to elevate pitted acne scars is described. Following local anaesthesia, a pocket is created underneath the scar using a common hypodermic needle. The puncture wound is dilated to permit the entry of a small implant of banked human fascia lata through the hole into the dermis. Retreatment can be performed as necessary.
