Laparoscopic photography – an ‘in-line’ system for 35 mm colour photography

Abstract

This paper outlines a new method by which high quality 35 mm images may be obtained during laparoscopic surgery. A 35 mm camera is placed ‘in-line’, that is between the video camera and the laparoscope. This allows complex laparoscopic procedures to be photographed without adding to the operative duration. This technology offers a high quality alternative to the various electronic image devices currently available.
