Knot tying intracorporeally at laparoscopic surgery facilitated with newly designed forceps

Abstract

We present a new design of forceps for rapid and simple intracorporeal knot tying at laparoscopic surgery. This forceps is comprised of end-grasper and side-grasper to wrap the thread over and under the assisting grasper. The circle to make a knot can be formed readily, at whichever direction the thread or forceps is placed.
