Summary

The work of Bernard T. Tervoort now Professor in the Institute for General Linguistics, University of Amsterdam is of fundamental explanatory value for those concerned with the education of children whose comprehension of auditory language is impaired. His principal ideas and findings on the nature and consequences of communication through vision are supported by his long term study of deaf children in the United States and Europe.
