Abstract

Modern Europe is characterised by a powerful movement towards integration. The process involves different areas, including healthcare and education. Although it is laborious, because it has to reduce the many differences that are the wealth of this continent, it has its clear benefits. This article looks at the developments in training in general practice and in basic medical education throughout Europe since 1970.
