Abstract
Petroleum ether and chloroform extracts of Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum Nees) bark were studied for possible cytotoxic effect on KB and L1210 cell cultures. The median effective doses of the petroleum ether extract on KB and L1210 cells were 60 and 24 μg/ml, respectively, and of the chloroform extract were 58 and 20 μg/ml, respectively.
