Therapeutic Action of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis against Caecal Amoebiasis of Rat

Abstract

The 50% ethanolic extracts of the seeds, leaves, roots, flowers and stem of Nyctanthes arbor-tristis were screened for antiamoebic activity. These extracts showed promising effect in clearing Entamoeba histolytica infections in rat caecum however, they were not active in vitro.
