Abstract

A new molluscicidal steroidal glycoside 3-0 [β-D-xylopyranosyl (1→3)β-D-glucopyranosyl (1→3)β-d-xylopyranosyl (1→3)β-d-glucopyranosyl (1→3)β-d-galactopyranosyl]-25R, 5α-spirostan 6β, 3β-diol has been isolated from the inflorescence of Agave cantala.
