Development and implementation of medical applications as part of a co-ordinated project

Abstract

The paper reports on the experience of running a basic set of hospital applications covering patient administration and laboratory services with details of some of the benefits gained and discusses the experience of two hospitals in collaborating in the development and transfer of applications. This is an area of the greatest importance to all those who seek to produce cost-effective hospital computer systems without the necessity of repeating work already done elsewhere.

Ce papier est un compte rendu de l'expérience de fonctionnement d'un ensemble de base des applications hospitalières couvrant l'administration du malade et des détails sur certains des avantages obtenus, et discute l'expérience de 2 hôpitaux qui ont collaboré au développement et au transfert des applications. C'est un domaine de la plus haute importance pour tous ceux qui cherchent à produire des systèmes d'ordinateurs hospitaliers sans avoir à refaire un travail déjà éxécuté autre part.
