Abstract

The two short communications presented here raise some interesting points about the relative importance of current density, electrode composition, and polarity of DC fields in both in vitro and in vivo experiments with electrical fields. Dr. Becker's communication, stimulated by the work of Miklavčič, together with Dr. Miklavčič's reply, outlines the problems nicely and points the way for future efforts. In any case, we find them interesting and hope the readers will as well. We encourage the submission of such short communications that will illuminate present problems and future directions.
