Abstract
The determination of glutethimide in biologic fluids using the spectro-photometric method of Goldbaum e t al. [1] is sensitive, specific, and accurate but requires a skilled technician and is a time-consuming procedure. Recently, Korzun et a1 [2] reported the assay of glutethimide in blood using rapid thin-layer chromatography (TLC). Because of its speed and simplicity, we further investigated this chromatographic method using the Goldbaum technique as a standard of reference.
