Abstract

As lithium is now widely used in psychiatry for manic depressive psychosis, the incidence of poisoning is likely to increase. It is thus important that physicians, particularly Casualty Officers, should be acquainted with its use, metabolism, toxic effects, and management of patients suffering from lithium poisoning.
