Computer graphics in medical illustration

Abstract

The representation of molecules of biological interest by computer-generated images is discussed with reference to a new film, The Structure and Function of Haemoglobin, a computer-generated 3-D anaglyph film. Some guidelines for the choice of possible computation strategies are set out and exemplified by reference to this film.
