Ultraviolet photography in detecting ‘latent’ halos of pigmented lesions

Abstract

In the study of pigmented skin lesions ultraviolet photography will sometimes reveal a ‘latent’ halo that is not visible to the naked eye. This phenomenon could be a useful adjunct to diagnosis.
