A television method for measuring infrared and ultraviolet reflectances of pigmented lesions

Abstract

Photographic photometry has been used to measure infrared and ultraviolet reflectance of pigmented skin lesions as an aid to differentiate between malignant and non-malignant melanomas. This article describes the use of television for this purpose, looks at the problems involved and compares results obtained with the two methods.
