Abstract

Two methods for developing three-dimensional breast models are discussed. The models are intended to teach and inform patients who are to undergo mastectomy, and nurses and others responsible for teaching breast self-examination. The first method uses latex, silicone and plastic materials; the second method uses intrinsically coloured silicone adhesive rubber. The breasts are filled with a silicone gel.
